Week 1

[Well that was a busy day, huh? But despite all that, a good majority of you are reasonable people, and are smart enough to find an escape without resorting to deadly violence. Maybe if you put your heads together, you'll find a way to get out of here! After all, the host is practically in shambles already, what can he do?

The whole first floor of the manor is open for your leasure now, with the only change being that there's now a set of rules in the foyer hanging on the wall.

Let the games begin.]

[MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY]

[...] I think you got some yellow on it too. [He's...not sure how to take this? Anyone knows how to at least rinse off their clothes, right?]

[The closest Kit has ever got to doing laundry was when he'd hide out in the laundry room as a small child in an attempt to get out of lessons, which never worked very well because he'd invariably get bored.]

... This is where the water comes out, right?

[He's dubiously eyeing the sink. He has a pretty good idea that's how that works but also it's just foreign enough that he isn't sure.]

I've never seen a kitchen like this before. To tell you the truth I haven't seen much of kitchens at all.

[Except, again, dumb childhood sneaking that never lasted very long.]

[Man you actually get to try and hide from lessons. Noby could never comprehend that.]

Yeah! [He knows how to work that at least. He proudly turns on the water.] It works like this! [And he blinks at the comment of not seeing much of kitchens.] Really? Why not?

[He is learning so much. Like, the whole 'murder and kidnapping' thing is not great, but he can be at least enthusiastic about the genuinely cool stuff he gets to see while he waits to be un-kidnapped.

He gingerly sticks his hand and messy sleeve under the water, and when nothing immediately very bad happens begins to wash off the egg. He does at least know how to wash his dang hands.]

Well, uh. The servants were usually the ones doing the cooking.

[I mean, the only rich person he really knows is Sneech, and even his mom still does the cooking most of the time.] Oh...I guess that makes sense. But they're not here, so you're trying to do it yourself?

[personal profile] holdthetrumpet 2018-01-16 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't feel right asking someone else to do it for me.

[How rude would that be? No, no, he has to learn to do this for himself.]
used_realtears: (smile)

[personal profile] used_realtears 2018-01-16 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Aw, that makes him smile. What a good prince! Sneech could learn something from him.] Well, that makes sense! I'm sure some people here will be happy to help if you need it, too!

[He sure does try to be good. There's a reason people call him charming.]

Mmhm. For a bunch of people who have all been kidnapped, everyone I've spoken to so far seems nice.

[Even the alligator. Who knew? Though it's kind of... distressing, yes, that's a good word, that there are kids here. A prince makes sense, politically, even if it sucks. A child has no business in a place where apparently there are supposed to be blood sacrifices happening.]

So thank goodness for small favors?

[personal profile] used_realtears 2018-01-17 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
[It's even more distressing for this kid really. He's just focusing on believing in his friends' ability to get him out of here.]

Yup! It would be way worse to be trapped in here with a bunch of bullies or villains! [Even if there are some hanging around...]

[personal profile] holdthetrumpet 2018-01-17 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, same. Let's just bask in the comforting delusion that there are people out there coming to help, huh?]

I should say so! But even the alligator is a sparkling conversationalist.

[He also hasn't met Stan Pines yet. Or, uh. Seen Gaston actually act like Gaston. He is super sure Gaston is on the level.]

[personal profile] used_realtears 2018-01-17 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, he doesn't seem very scary. I don't think he'd even try to bite anyone... [Although Noby isn't 100% sure of that.]

[personal profile] holdthetrumpet 2018-01-17 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
... Out of curiosity. Where you're from, do animals talk?

[He kind of wants to conduct some experiments on this. Even some talking animals (Rémy) have told him that animals talking to humans isn't normal where they come from.]
used_realtears: (wut)

[personal profile] used_realtears 2018-01-17 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
...no? Unless they're people who turned into animals. Or robot animals, I guess. Or maybe they just don't talk to me... [Maybe there's a whole secret planet of talking animals somewhere.]
holdthetrumpet: (5)

[personal profile] holdthetrumpet 2018-01-17 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Okay. So it's not just me. I didn't think animals could talk until I met some nice mice the day before I woke up here, and now all the animals are talking.
used_realtears: (wut)

[personal profile] used_realtears 2018-01-17 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Huh. That makes him stare.] Talking mice? What were they talking to you about?
holdthetrumpet: (2)

[personal profile] holdthetrumpet 2018-01-17 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
It's... complicated.

[He awkwardly tugs at his wet sleeve.]
used_realtears: (relief)

[personal profile] used_realtears 2018-01-17 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, adults say that a lot, but he can be understanding about it.] Anyways, it's not that bad for animals to be talking, I guess. I used to try to talk to them when I was littler too.
