[Well that was a busy day, huh? But despite all that, a good majority of you are reasonable people, and are smart enough to find an escape without resorting to deadly violence. Maybe if you put your heads together, you'll find a way to get out of here! After all, the host is practically in shambles already, what can he do?

The whole first floor of the manor is open for your leasure now, with the only change being that there's now a set of rules in the foyer hanging on the wall.

[...in hindsight maybe this was a bad idea.

Rémy jumps over the film on the floor and climbs onto the projector trying to look inside]

It shouldn't be too hard, we just have to jam the film...uh...over here?

[He points at one of the takeup reels. Sounds about right! And to put the film back, it should be loosened up, right? Rémy manages to unscrew one of the central bolts, as soon as it falls, half of the takeup reel falls to the floor, smaller screws and the big wheel clattering everywhere]

That wasn't it!

[Right, give him a moment to try to gather all the screws!]

[One of the screws hits Louis on the snout before bouncing off to the secret, unfindable place all small mechanical parts go missing to when dropped on the ground. Maybe it was not a good idea to let two animals with little understanding of this technology to inspect this.]

Aw jeez, let me help you out--

[Louis walks forward in an attempt to help Remy find the screws, until something catches on his foot and he falls flat on his face. He looks back to see that a loop of film has caught around his leg.]

Actually, I think I'm fine just laying right here. You find the screws.

[Not even knowing how many screws there were supposed to be, Rémy gathers all the screws he can see, and manages to get them all on the table]

Okay, let's get our stories straight: when we arrived the projector was already like this.

[It's believable, given the state of this place! Rémy places all the screws he found -- it seems several went missing. Oh well]

[sharpasanarrow]

[Mr.Arrow walks in on the scene and clears his throat at an audible level.]

Would you mind explaining to me what's going on here?

Wow, would you look at that! It seems that...this here...movin' pictures machine just spontaneously fell apart! Wow! C'mon, Remy, let's go and find someone to can fix this--

[He's a very, very bad actor.]

[He looks at the projector.

Then back at Louis.

Then at Remy.

Then back to the projector.]

That sounds like incredibly negligent product design- someone could've gotten hurt.

[He pulls out his little notepad and pen.]

Do give me the details of what happened, exactly.

[So bad actor Louis is Rémy looks at him in disbelief for a second, hah. Buuuuut since it may be in his best interest to play along, he refrains from pointing that out]

This thing must have been really old, just like this whole place, of course it'd fall apart just like that!

[Got your back, gator. Still, better get going, so he tries to walk away like they're totally not running away]

It's so old I just...kind of walked nearby, and some of the screws fell. What a crazy thing technology is.

Yeah, and I was tryin' to play a reel, and in the middle of the film, it just sort of...unraveled. Dangerous stuff, y'know. It made me trip and fall, too!

[Yes. He can work with this. He's going to start slowly inching towards the door with Remy.]

If I were you, I'd even give the room a full inspection. Just to make sure everything is up to safety standards and such. Wouldn't want anyone accidentally breaking their necks over this!

[sharpasanarrow]

[He nods, completely believing every word.]

Yes, yes. Hardly unsurprising- all of this technology is new to me and I don't trust it for a second.

[bestchefinparis]

And you do well! [Rémy laughs, trying to mask his nervousness] Since we don't want to get in the way, Louis and I will get going and you--you can make sure nothing's going to explode or anything like that. Okay? Okay!

[Fingerguns!]

Thank you, Mr. Arrow, I knew we could count on you!

[sharpasanarrow]

Hm. Yes, of course, best retreat to safety to avoid further accidents. You two may be excused.

[He gives them a little dismissive wave and sets about to clearing up the mess.


It's nice to be counted on.]

Yes, yes, you truly are the epitome of public safety. Keep up the good work!

[Exit, stage left.]

[Where'd we all be without Mr. Arrow watching for all of our safeties. Rémy salutes and leaves with Louis.

Once they're far enough he's sure Mr. Arrow isn't going to hear, he whispers:]

I can't believe we got away safely.

[Very lucky, these two]

[Louis has to lean down to hear Remy.]

I know, right? Hopefully he'll be there for a few hours or so. Too bad a bout that projector, though. Hopefully someone else will fix it.

Have you seen all the people here? There are so many surely someone will know how to fix it!

[...at least he hopes so, it seems a bit of a flaw to not have someone experienced with mechanics and the such]

If we're lucky enough, they could even have a way for us to call the outside.
