[Well that was a busy day, huh? But despite all that, a good majority of you are reasonable people, and are smart enough to find an escape without resorting to deadly violence. Maybe if you put your heads together, you'll find a way to get out of here! After all, the host is practically in shambles already, what can he do?

The whole first floor of the manor is open for your leasure now, with the only change being that there's now a set of rules in the foyer hanging on the wall.

Was he brought to life by magic, too?

[It makes sense as a concept but he's definitely never met anyone who was inorganic and alive like he was before.]

That'd be good, if he could. One of my friends could definitely fit in the machine, but he probably wouldn't be able to help us get out.

Um...I think someone built him and made him come alive? That was in the really far future though, so I don't know how exactly they did it. [Honestly half of Doraemon's gadgets could probably be categorized as "magic"...]

One of your friends? What's he like?

That's how it happened for me, too! My father built me and then the Blue Fairy made me come alive.

[Surely it's exactly the same.]

He's actually my conscience. [On second thought, can a conscience also be a friend? ...Probably? He's not sure.] And he's kinda short 'cause he's a cricket.

Yeah, but I think in the future there are a lot of robots, so there must be some way for them to do it faster or something. [Look, he's never actually been there.]

Oh! That sounds pretty helpful. [He...vaguely remembers something about a cricket in the original story?] Do you think he could sneak in somehow?

That's really cool. I think it'd be neat to meet somebody else who's sorta like me.

[He looks a little uncertain at the question, though.] I... I dunno. I was kinda lookin' for him earlier, but he wasn't here then and Freddie said this place might be protected with some kinda magic, so... [He trails off with a shrug. He's not really certain anymore.] But back home he was really good at finding me when I needed him. Maybe he'll show up, anyways.

If he shows up, I'll definitely introduce you two!

[He nods slowly as Pinocchio explains.] Well, if he shows up, I'm sure he'll come find you right away! It seems he cares a lot about you, after all.

Yeah... maybe. It's kinda his job to make sure I'm doing the right thing, so I think he's supposed to be here and he just hasn't caught up yet.
