I think I need a new angle for these speeches. Spice things up a little.

Her... Her throat was cut, through her vocal chords, and her achilles' tendons likewise severed. The logical assumption would be intent to silence and disable her, but. My point is Gaston would fit the evidence, but there's still a possibility this is. worse than that.

That's part of what worries me. We've a very limited pool by now... But I don't like all these little details that seem unrelated to Gaston.

Why would he mark anyone's door with pepper? Why leave a blood trail starting at Kit's room? I'm not fully convinced even Gaston would drop the murder weapon right outside his own door, not when he could just as easily hide it inside his room.

Wait, just to be thorough, was the knife bloody? Is it the same knife used to murder Ariel?

That might explain the other blood trail, unless she tried to fight back and hurt someone.

It wasn't near the other blood trail, though. That was from Kit's room to Ariel, and the knife was in front of Gaston's room.

That doesn't make sense. We reached the scene very quickly, at a minimum the murderer ought to have been in a hurry to not be caught holding the knife...

Maybe...it was made before they hurt Ariel? If they made it beforehand they'd have a lot of time to do it, wouldn't they?

That would make it their own blood, likely leading to that spot, rather than... Hm. Something about this is still off, but we should check one another for injuries.
