[Now that the Narrator is done explaining the situation, you all have time to assess the situation and maybe even work together to find a way out. After all, clearly the Narrator is being over dramatic and it can't be that hard to escape out of here without murdering everyone, right?

But, with the doors outside indeed locked and all the windows unbreakable, it might not be a bad idea to explore the hotel, either for alternative methods of escape or to relieve boredom. Your Narrator is also now available for private chat in case you want to interrogate him or throw more stuff at his face.

If the locked doors aren't bad enough, when everyone goes back to the lobby, they'll notice a plaque on the front desk. If you thought your Narrator wasn't serious before, this is damning evidence to the contrary.

Either way, we really do hope you enjoy your stay in this hotel.]

[quite frankly he doesn’t trust Scrooge to watch the boys for this long. and he Definitely doesn’t trust him to watch them forever, if Donald... you know.]

I don't even know what he plans on having us do if somebody does do something. Do we... arrest them? We can't call the cops.

Hopefully we won’t have to find out.

[If he knew there was any sort of justice system in place, maybe he’d feel safer? But as it is right now he’s not getting his hopes up.]

I say we lock anyone who's feeling murder-y in a closet until they stop. Like an adult time-out.

I don't think that would even work as a punishment for my nephews, let alone anyone here. Are we sure this place doesn't have a dungeon?

[It's a hotel, sure, but it's got those vibes about it that make it feel like there could be a dungeon in the basement.]

... Yeah. Pretty sure. I don't think most hotels are built with medieval torture rooms in mind.

This isn't "most hotels". Nothing would surprise me at this point.

It's not like the hotel itself is bad. It's just a little haunted and some faker jerk is using it to play And Then There Were None

Well, maybe that part isn't exactly the same, but the general idea is still there.

Well... most of us seem reasonable enough. If that Narrator thinks we're all going to start killing each other just like that, he's got another thing coming!

[...but he sounds a lot more certain than he feels. and he's still going to keep his eyes open.]

If it's anything like how a normal episode goes, there'll be some kind of trick or twist that forces our hand. It might even be out of our hands by now.

[just wrongfully assuming cultural hegemony again]

Episode? You mean people are watching this? What kind of sick place is this!?

Not actually watching! [GOSH THAT WOULD JUST BE SILLY] It's just if he's going so far as to pretend to be Rod Serling, he's probably gonna treat this whole thing like a really long, R-rated Twilight Zone episode.

[he's about to ask who? and what? but given their last conversation(s) on very similar topics he figures he'll just. take her word for it. kids these days and their pop culture]

Everyone learns an important lesson and things end happily ever after?

[yeah, that's a bit more like what he was expecting.]

Great. At least we know what we've got to look forward to.

There are lessons, though. And some of them could be pretty useful here. Like, in one episode, a neighborhood thinks aliens are invading and accuse each other of being aliens. They end up tearing themselves apart-- just what the aliens want.
