[Now that the Narrator is done explaining the situation, you all have time to assess the situation and maybe even work together to find a way out. After all, clearly the Narrator is being over dramatic and it can't be that hard to escape out of here without murdering everyone, right?

But, with the doors outside indeed locked and all the windows unbreakable, it might not be a bad idea to explore the hotel, either for alternative methods of escape or to relieve boredom. Your Narrator is also now available for private chat in case you want to interrogate him or throw more stuff at his face.

If the locked doors aren't bad enough, when everyone goes back to the lobby, they'll notice a plaque on the front desk. If you thought your Narrator wasn't serious before, this is damning evidence to the contrary.

Either way, we really do hope you enjoy your stay in this hotel.]

[ Reyna may not exactly be much of a reader, especially not of books that haven't been written in Latin, but she has nothing against books. She does have something, however, against messes, albeit not enough to get Really Angry about at least. ]

Are you planning to put those back when you're done?

[He turns, half-expecting to see a ghost, or a head in a fishbowl. But no, it's just one of the other people here. "Reyna" was the name on the profiles, wasn't it?]

Oh, of course. I'm not gonna start messing around in this place, Ghosts can be really tricky, if you get them mad. [He sets down a book on spells, grimacing.] Is that why you're asking?

Just curious. This place isn't exactly clean as it is.

[ She picks up one of the books and looks it over. ]

If this ever really was a hotel, I can't imagine this room had too many visitors.

If it really was a hotel, I don't think it would be for anyone besides ghosts. Considering it seems just like the other place.

Lonesome Manor. It's... a place where I'm from. A lot of ghosts and spirits make their home there.

[And also weird mad scientists, but that's probably not an exclusive thing.]

Which is how you know about ghosts.

Sure do. [He puffs his chest out a bit. He's proud of his knowledge, tbh]

It's... not the happiest place on earth, that's for sure. At least the ghosts think it's pretty nice. That way they don't mess with the rest of us.

Ghosts can be very... difficult, yes. But they're not usually monsters.

[ Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, who she definitely doesn't see as a little brother, might be slightly Concerning when he uses his demigod powers.

No, they're not monsters, they're just ghosts. [Sometimes the spirits of the dead, sometimes just... ghosts.]

I've come to accept it as a fact of life. Or, er, not-life.

Y'know, whatever sort of existence spirits have? I always thought they were kind of different from ghosts.

[He's very much alive! Somehow.]

Ah. When people die, they go to the Underworld, usually. But sometimes they don't make it, or are called back. It's a journey, after all, not just a barrier.

...The Underworld? Y'mean like a... Hades thing?

Or Pluto, yes.

He's like... a major figure in the Cartoon world! A long time ago, you couldn't have a Mickey cartoon without that dog!

[He's the animation buff around here, it seems. He's honestly a little shocked.]

I thought humans knew all about this kind of stuff.

Oh, the... Mickey Mouse dog?

I haven't seen a cartoon in... a very long time.

We don't let much of the outside world's pop culture in. I recognize a few characters, but that's about it.
