Week 5
[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.
But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor!
Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
[OOC: and don't forget to fill out this week's activity check!]

And cereal. So, so much cereal.
He spends the day wandering aimlessly around the manor, trumpet from the music room in hand. Every so often, he'll stop and play a few notes, maybe even play a few bars of a song. He keeps expecting Mr. Arrow to show up and tell him to stop, but then he remembers, and then he feels a pang of sorrow for the bird...puppet...whatever he was. He was damn good at keeping order, even if it did seem unnecessary, at times.]
oh well, I'm the type of guy who will never settle down
You ever heard about wishing on a monkey's paw?
no subject
I've heard of wishin' on stars, but never a paw. Why?
no subject
So, there's a part of me that keeps thinking, for every time I've wished Arrow would stop ruining everybody's fun... Makes you kinda wish you hadn't said some stuff, doesn't it?
no subject
[In a really roundabout way, but still. He sounds a little hurt.]
I mean...I guess. I'm generally not one to hold any ill will towards anyone. Except that duck.... [He's too much of a good boy for that.] S'not like you could've expected this thing to have happened, right?
no subject
Oh, I knew he was a goner from the start. Told him as much. I was expecting it to be on purpose, when it finally happened... Though I guess it was on purpose, a little bit. The duck probably would've been happy enough to get any of us.
no subject
[CLEARS THROAT] But anyways! I'm sure he just wants to see us all miserable. Can't imagine how such an awful person--er, duck--could exist. Like, he doesn't even have any reason to do any of this!
no subject
[... wait well. that's a new part of the story.]
Why would you ever want to be human?
no subject
Well, this was before I ever thought I'd have a chance playin' trumpet in a professional setting. And then someone put the thought into my head that, if I was a human, I'd be able to play to adorin' crowds without scaring 'em.
[He shrugs a little.] Well, I can play to one single crowd without 'em runnin' off, and I figure if I keep playin', I'll make my way to the top. Bein' human would really smooth things over, though.

Hey. Not feeling the music today?
no subject
Nah. It feels wrong, even if Arrow ain't around anymore.
[He lets out a sigh, fiddling with the keys on the trumpet.]
How you holdin' up? You been outside, yet?
no subject
I, uh, yeah. It's- have you? It's not really a fun place.
no subject
[He lets out a forced laugh.] Here we are, in danger of being murdered at any minute, and I'm worried about seein' the goddamn sun. What's that say 'bout me?

[His response is uncharacteristically harsh. He winces as the words are leaving his mouth.]
Sorry. Shouldn't have said that--you don't deserve that. Maybe I should just...play some music or something, try and cheer myself up.
no subject
N-no... No, I don't want you to just...go off somewhere and be depressed.
no subject
You...you want me to stop walkin' around like a fool.
[how else is he supposed to cope???]

You too, huh?
[It's been Rough these past couple of days.]
no subject
Usually this makes me feel better, but...it's just been garbage lately. You doin' alright?
no subject
Yeah I'm... I mean no, not really.
[He can't lie about feeling fine, honestly. And at this point, it'd be weird if anyone did.]
I don't like that we lost our only way of communicating with everyone in the Underworld. I feel like anything could happen to them now, and we wouldn't even know.
no subject
I-I'm sure everything is fine. S'not like they can die again, am I right? [NERVOUS LAUGHTER]
Not to mention that Rod dude--he said he was comin' up with a plan, but now...now we just gotta hope and wait, I guess.
no subject
[As Marco says this, he starts to pace back and forward in a little line.]
All we've been doing is waiting, and watching our numbers dwindle one by one and I'm tired of it! I want to be able to do something to help!
no subject
You k-know we can't do anything! Randy's got an iron grip on the place, he wouldn't care if we all died! And even if we try and cooperate, he's gonna try and force us to kill, anyways. And now that we know what's outside....
[He trails off, clutching his trumpet closer to his chest.] He's got us exactly where he wants us, and he knows it.
no subject
[Marco stop suddenly, pointing at the alligator accusingly but not with any real fire behind it.]
If we just sit here and accept that we're all gonna die and that Randy has complete control over us, then you know what's gonna happen?
We're all going! To die!
[He brings his hand up, running it through his hair.]
We can't just sit here and wait. By the time they come to rescue us, there might not be anyone even left.
no subject
L-Listen! It's n-not that I want to die, it's just--it's probably better to wait and for 'em to rescue a few people versus if we try and go against Randy and have him instantly kill us all! There won't be nobody to rescue no matter what! Unless we somehow break outta hell--
[He suddenly stops, and his face looks as if a light bulb had just turned on in his head.]
