Week 5

[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.

But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor! 

Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.

[Hiro's paused with a fork of psta halfway to his mouth, because he was Hungry and???? Y'all were taking a long time???? There is sauce on his face.]

[It's not that he doesn't realize this is a set-up. He did, but also???? He didn't think this was like????? A date-date?????????? IT'S A DATE-DATE ISN'T IT.]

[ Gently pushes Marco into the room. ]

He is! I'm not. I've got a few things to take care of.

[You can practically hear the comedic screeching as Marco barely moves an inch on his own, instead letting himself be pushed in by Kim.]

[. . . Oh. She's gone. Hiro kind of desperately looks between where Kim was standing and Marco. Haha. He can do this?????]

[remember when i said marco looked like he wanted to die earlier? okay, imagine that same face but more like the look of someone who's already ascended to heaven]

[Marco's voice cracks on that one single syllable and he just. Awkwardly shuffles over, pulls the empty seat back and takes a seat all in very rigid and robotic movements.]

Um... did Kim.. like....... tell you anything about this beforehand or anything? Just. Y'know. Asking. Just 'cause.

No? She was just, like "hey, Hiro! I need to talk to you before dinner!" and I was like "okay that's weird since we room together but Kim's trustworthy so why wouldn't I trust her?" and then I got here and she was talking about the elephants or whatever?

[Fun fact: when Hiro's nervous he just rambles Forever.]

And there were, like, candles? So I was like "okay, that's weird but maybe Kim just wants to have a night in or something!" because you know. It's been a stressful week? But nooooooo, she set me up.

[The entire time Hiro's explaining, Marco's just nodding along with his hands in his hoodie pocket, still sweating. Still looking like he'd rather hallucinate someone dying than be here right now.]

Yeahhh.... all I got was a note from her saying that she wanted to meet around this time. I probably should've been suspicious since she specified not to eat like, that's totally supicious right?

[He pulls one of his hands out of his pocket, running it through his hair.]

All the candles and stuff is super weird too, right? Like, if I didn't know any better, I'd think she set us up on a date or something! Haha!

[his awkwardness can probably be felt from across the manor]

[Somewhere, Star and Tadashi respectively are screaming.]

[Just gonna. Reach for that fork while Hiro's not using it to shove a meatball in his mouth.]

I mean, like........ people are dying here why would anyone even worry about dating in the first place?

[Haha. Ha. Oh god this is literally the worst, but if he leaves Kim will be Disappointed in him.]

Everyone seems to be hooking up, like we're not all in danger of dying horribly and you. You know what? More power to them.

[Marco laughs a little uncomfortably long at that, and he drops his gaze to the spaghet in front of him, wondering what the fuck he's doing with his life right now.]

...I mean. I guess I can't. really blame them. It's kind of scary being trapped here while people are dying and nothing to do about it. I'd... proooobably... y'know...

[want someone to be with before he inevitably gets stabbed]

I think it's nice that some people can do that. General Organa and Mr. Pines seem happy.

What.... yourrrrr favourite colour is! I just realized you never told me before and thought "wow that's kind of weird isn't it? You've known this guy for so long Marco and you never even bothered to ask him what his favourite colour is?"

Uh, it's. Purple, I guess? Or red, I dunno, they're pretty equally my favorite. [That was, uh. Incredibly random???] What's yours?

Anyway, I sure am hungry! [He picks the fork back up.] I-- oh no. Whoops! I'm such a clutz!!

[and he kind of carelessly tossed it to the ground.]

Hold on juuuust one second.

[Marco pushes his chair back and ducks under the table, sitting down and pulling his hoodie up over his head as he tries to calm down and figure out how the fuck to get out of this situation. This is terrible. It's going terrible. Hiro's clearly uninterested and it was a bad idea and he should have never even talked to Kim about this in the first place because his feelings just put poor Hiro in such an uncomfortable position and he's the worst.]

[Hiro kind of watches all that happen and then waits a few seconds for Marco to come back up with the fork, but he doesn't resurface and so Hiro pushes his own chair back and gets under the table too.]

Marco? Are you . . . okay? I know Kim forced you to come talk to me, but you don't have to - [like me back] - be here if you don't want to be.

[nachosquire]

[oh he feels so bad hiro is trying so hard for him--]

I'm... i-it's not like I don't wanna be here or anything.

[...]

Well, okay. I don't. But it's-- I--

[Marco lets out a frustrated sounding sigh, lifting a hand up to rub his palm against his eyelid. It'd be so much easier if Kim could have just asked Hiro if he liked Marco, and then told Marco that he didn't. It'd hurt way less than having to deal with this. Utter embarrassment. And he knows that Kim means well and she didn't do this with any ill-will but he's just.. not sure if he wants to ruin their relationship over this.

But at the same time, Hiro does kind of deserve to know why he has to put up with all of this. At the very least he deserves that.


So after a nice pause, he finally just... says it.]

...I have a crush on you, Hiro. That's why Kim set all of this up in the first place.

[and now hed like to be murdered swiftly, thanks]
