[It's been one whole week, and no one has died yet. For someone who seemed so sure that someone would die, it seems as if The Narrator was wrong about anyone killing another person. But after awhile, the hotel might seem pretty dull. There is only so much to do in here, and if you don't enjoy books and old board games, it's hard to keep you entertained unless you like marathons of Muppet Treasure Island.

[He could grapple back - but he's gonna take the long way, easily climbing down the table leg to head back over]

So how are you doing, anyway? I'm still trying to find some clues but not having much luck.

Mostly? Trying to keep myself active so I don't go crazy. And looking around, of course. [ ...you may have seen her and reyna beating the heck out of each other on friday, that was A Good Time ]

[pretty darn nimbly, that's for sure. he's clearly comfortable to the point where one might question why he needs the grapple at all- until they recognize that it's a little different climbing wood than, say, a steel wall]

Uh-huh. I saw you the other day, I guess...working out? [he's gonna phrase it like that, because that's what he thinks it was, in the end.] It's lucky this place is so big, I'm getting my exercise just going up and down the stairs...

[ She shrugs lightly, and it turns into a stretch. ]

I've been active since... Since I was a kid, you know. Can't remember the last time I wasn't doing some kind of training, so it just comes naturally. [ Though- ] But I...didn't really think about how it'd be for someone not sized right to all this. You want we should talk to Roddy about it?

Rodd-oh. Him. No, I'll be okay. I'd be running up and down the tree at home, anyway, at the least. Even when we didn't have a case!

[ He's Roddy now, forever, she doesn't make the rules. ]

If you insist... That doesn't get hard or anything? You don't fall off? Again, haven't spoken to anything your size, so.

[For that, Chipmunk just holds up his paws. Look at the little claws!]

Not really. I mean, climbing human walls can be hard, depending on what they're made of, but that only really comes in to play when we're in their spaces.

And you're in them a lot? Is that why you have the grappling hook?

Exactly! Sometimes you need to get up somewhere there aren't any handholds.

Why are you in human places anyway? Why not stay in your tree...area?

'Cause trouble doesn't just stay in our 'tree area'. Wherever the Rescue Rangers are needed, we go!

Oh... Oh right, your bio said something about that. What's a Rescue Ranger?

[ besides a phrase that can instantly get that damn song in my head forever rip ]

What do you guys do?

Solve crimes, mostly. Or just deal with whatever Dale did this time. [GOD HE MISSES HIM BUT THAT SURE DOES BRING A SMILE TO HIS FACE]

That's...pretty cool. Dale one of your co-workers?

Uh-huh! He's been my best friend as long as I can remember, too. We pretty much grew up together...even if sometimes I'm not sure he actually grew up!

[ She snorts and laughs. ] I know a few like that too. Working with your best friend, though, that must be pretty nice!
