Week 2

[It's been one whole week, and no one has died yet. For someone who seemed so sure that someone would die, it seems as if The Narrator was wrong about anyone killing another person. But after awhile, the hotel might seem pretty dull. There is only so much to do in here, and if you don't enjoy books and old board games, it's hard to keep you entertained unless you like marathons of Muppet Treasure Island.

But you can keep this up, right?

24 guests remain.]

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]

{OOC: Don't forget to turn in your Week 1/Intro AC! Since Peace Week is over, Tuesday and onward are currently locked for the upcoming motive. Everything is going to change soon}

No one can turn down a little help, though. ...Or, well, it's better if they don't. If you can defend someone you care about, it makes it worth it, doesn't it? [ There's a kinship here. ]
fairlypushy: (fairly upset)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-12 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly! [She brightens, but then her face immediately falls.] But I guess that also means it hurts twice as much when you fail.
sentree: (➳ and she's dangerous)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-12 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
[ Ever confident, she just replies: ] You just have to be strong as you can be, then. Make sure you're prepared so you don't fail.
fairlypushy: (fairly resigned)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-13 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it works when your -

[Amanda spent nearly ten books not even admitting she liked Finn. She sure as hell can spend a whole game not calling him for boyfriend.]

- friend is the type of person who jumps in front of danger.

[What a stupid boy.]
sentree: (➳ she's the salt of the earth)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-13 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm... [ Considers. ] ...Jump faster. That's my advice.

[ But the look on her face says she...knows the feeling. ]
fairlypushy: (fairly awkward)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-13 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
. . . I wouldn't have to if he wasn't so stupid. [A chair tips over.] But I'll try and remember that for. For the future.
sentree: (one nation underdog)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-13 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
[ ...Oh, hello well-timed chair falling. ]

Huh. Someone bump that...?
fairlypushy: (fairly embarrassed)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-16 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. I - it happens sometimes, when I'm angry or upset. [She clutches the diary to her chest.] For some reason it happens more often here than it does at home.
sentree: (stepped out of the line)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-16 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh! So it's like...an ability you can access? Wow, someone else who wasn't completely depowered. Is it a...what'd you call it, Kingdom Keeper? That sort of thing?
fairlypushy: (fairly neutral)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-16 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
No, um. It's my Fairlie ability, I was born with it. [Yes, "Fairlie," pronounced like "fairly."] I can't use any of my Kingdom Keeper powers here.

[Because they're garbage and OP and nobody needs to deal with that.]
sentree: (one light‚ one mind)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-16 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Fairlie?

[ ...you're gonna have to explain this one to her. ]

Is this like...Virgil with his superhero thing, or more like...well, me and Reyna?
fairlypushy: (fairly awkward)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-16 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
It's . . . It's short for "fairly human." We have abilities outside the norm - like pushing thing without touching them. [She holds up Jess' journal slightly.] Dreaming the future before it happens.
sentree: (she's the one that they)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-16 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
...So you are like a demigod? Is it parentage?
fairlypushy: (fairly neutral)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-17 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really know. [There's a lot of gaps in what they were told in the Barracks.] It's - there were a lot of us, but I don't think any of us were related.

[Yes, she did just say none of them were related. Not even her and Jessica.]
sentree: (she's the one that they)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-17 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
[ You know who's not going to call her on that? This girl. She's completely aware of...making family that's not your blood family. ]

Hmm... That's...so weird. Not that you are weird, just...you'd think someone would've told you.
fairlypushy: (fairly uncomfortable)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-17 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It's . . . We were collected as an army for a man. I think it worked in their favor to make us feel like freaks of nature, so they never explained anything to us.

[Amery Hollingsworth is a garbage can.]
sentree: (🌲 she's a rebel)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-18 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
...Is he still around? Can I beat him up?

[ Because River Styx, she wants to beat him up. ]
fairlypushy: (fairly upset)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-18 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
I. [Her brows knit together, like she's trying to remember something.] I think we defeated him. I think that's what we went to the past to do.
sentree: (that i just can't define)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-18 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
The past? You time traveled?
fairlypushy: (fairly neutral)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-19 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
We did. I don't remember what happened there very well, but I know we were all trying to make sure something didn't happen in the past that would mess up the future.
sentree: (she's a saint)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-19 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Why don't you remember what you guys did?
fairlypushy: (fairly upset)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-19 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
I think . . . when we changed the past, it ceased to exist - even in our memories. [She's no Philby or Willa, but that seems like the most logical explanation.] I remember we were there, I remember we came to this hotel, I remember -

[She stop mid sentences and shakes her head.]

I remember all these scraps of what happened, but I can tell they're not the whole picture.
sentree: (➳ missing link on the brink)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-19 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
What the...? [ She breathes out. ] I think...time travel sounds like the most complicated possible thing. And I have been through a lot of complicated things.
fairlypushy: (fairly awkward)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-19 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, you know. To travel back in time you need to turn on Walt Disney's record player, designed by Nikola Tesla, and play a specific record. Then you have to run down Main Street to get to King Arthur's carousel and hop on to ride a horse - which is only physically possible if you're a hologram because otherwise you'll probably die trying.

So yes. Time travel is really complicated.]

It's . . . pretty complicated. I don't really understand how it works - Philby doesn't even understand it all and he's the smartest person I know.
sentree: (and she's holding on my heart)

[personal profile] sentree 2017-10-19 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
...It must be something pretty serious if you guys would risk that, then. Do you think there's any chance that your memories would return?
