[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.

But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor! 

Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.

[Hiro drops by slightly early, because he has nothing better to do and uh. Okay? No really, Kimberly what did you DO.

This??? Is not what he was expecting???? Seriously what the heck is going on, he expected Kim to chat with him for a couple minutes and then they'd go get dinner or she'd teach him how to make food. This . . . looks like a set-up. It's a set-up, isn't it?]

Well, yeah. Randy's some kind of cartoon, right? It's like a game - our rooms are "safe," so you know. If you wanted to be boring and maybe go a little crazy, you could just stay in the safe zone. [He shrugs.] Aren't you gonna sit?

Exactly what I was thinking. So, I realized...everything's been so hectic lately, I thought you guys deserved a little night in.

[Marco stops himself in the doorway, when he sees the state of the room. There's candles, there's a table with one plate of spaghetti, and most of all there's Hiro. Sitting there with his cute fluffy hair and curious eyes and oh my god this is a set-up]

[ OH NO YOU DON'T THERE SHE FUCKIN' GOES CHASING AFTER HIM ]

MARCO DIAZ GET BACK HERE-- Hiro you stay right. There! [ it's off to the fucking races kids ]

[Marco has never felt more Fear in his entire life than this moment.

But what's worse is that there's an elephant right in his path and he's legitimately not sure if he'd rather hallucinate his friends dying or deal with an extremely awkward and embarrassing... date?? confession??? whatever that will turn out to be]

[ The moment of hesitation is all she needs! Kim's going to grab Marco and just drag him on back, hissing: ]

You two need to stop dancing around this and just spend normal time together!

[The moment Kim grabs him, he lets out a squeak and immediately starts waving his arms around. Come closer, scary elephant man. Come save him from this disaster.]

B-but I'm not prepared!

[He whines that at her, like a literal three year old.]

I-I'm not in the right kind of attire for this and I didn't bring any flowers, a-and my hair's all greasy and I've got split ends and I still don't know how to skateboard and there's a zit right in the middle of my forehead and---

[ She grabs his shoulders and tries to look him right in the eye. ]

It doesn't have to be perfect, okay? Wasn't for me by a long shot. [ Encouraging smile! ] Just feel it out. That's all you need to do.

[Marco has to avoid her eyes by looking to the side, because he's an embarrassing awkward teen who's barely managed to have one (1) relationship before and everything inside of him is telling him to just book it and not give a crap about anything that might happen but.. well she has a point.

And this might be the only chance he gets to really tell Hiro how he feels, 'cause any time after this would really be way too embarrassing for him to say it.]

[Marco inhales a huuuuuge breath then, holding it for a couple of seconds before exhaling very slowly.]

Okay... I can do this. It's juuust Hiro, Diaz. You can do this.

[He slaps his cheeks a couple of times, trying to pump himself up but.. no. He's. So nervous Kim. He's so nervous. Look at him, he's sweating so much.]

[ just leading him back to the room, arm around his shoulders ]

You can do it! You can fight monsters, you can talk to one boy.

Yeah! Yeah, you're right! This is toooootally a piece of cake compared to what I do on a daily basis!

[That doesn't make him feel better but he sure as hell is going to pretend like it does, as they both return to the room.

Though seeing Hiro still there has him freeze in place but.. it's.. fine. He's fought monsters, he can do this.]

[Here are some totally nonchalant fingerguns for you Hiro, as he walks like two entire feet into the room looking like he's about to Die.]

[Hiro's paused with a fork of psta halfway to his mouth, because he was Hungry and???? Y'all were taking a long time???? There is sauce on his face.]

[It's not that he doesn't realize this is a set-up. He did, but also???? He didn't think this was like????? A date-date?????????? IT'S A DATE-DATE ISN'T IT.]

[ Gently pushes Marco into the room. ]

He is! I'm not. I've got a few things to take care of.

[ IT'S A DATE-DATE, CONGRATS! ]

[You can practically hear the comedic screeching as Marco barely moves an inch on his own, instead letting himself be pushed in by Kim.]
