[Well that was a busy day, huh? But despite all that, a good majority of you are reasonable people, and are smart enough to find an escape without resorting to deadly violence. Maybe if you put your heads together, you'll find a way to get out of here! After all, the host is practically in shambles already, what can he do?

The whole first floor of the manor is open for your leasure now, with the only change being that there's now a set of rules in the foyer hanging on the wall.

[Louis can barely take it anymore. It has been four--almost FIVE days without his trumpet and he's absolutely dying of boredom. If this was the shadowman's plan, it was working. So, through the day, you might see a stir-crazy alligator wandering around the manor, trying to find anything to entertain himself with.

His first stop is the kitchen for some snacks, where he notes, for some odd reason, almost all of the utensils are missing. That's no issue for him, though, and he takes to opening any cereal boxes he can find and pouring them into his mouth. Though, when it comes to the Lucky Charms, he's picking out the marshmallows and munching on them individually.

Later, he'll be in the foyer, pushing the instrumental music buttons and scatting under his breath with varying degrees of success. Technically, it's not really singing, so he figures he can get away with it. His foot taps to the beat, but none of these songs really jive. It's a disappointing display.

Eventually, he wanders into the projector room, where he's held utterly spellbound by the film reels. It's hard to hear what anyone is saying in these shorts, and some are jittery to the point they're barely watchable, but they're a welcome distraction.]

Man...I've always wanted to watch one of these! Technology is crazy, nowadays!

[You're not the only one who has been looking for anything to do. Cooking is okay, but there's only so much you can do of that in a single day]

That's...more or less what I meant with moving pictures. This is like nothing I had ever seen before, though...

[Toons? What's that? Apparently it's this]

Really? Wow. Ain't this somethin' special? Hey, if we ever got outta here, I wanna do somethin' like this for my music. That way, people don't have to look at a scary gator when they listen to it!

[He's being just a little self-depreciating.]

Wish they had more of these. Man, how do they do it?

Come on, you shouldn't hide out of sight! I know you're an alligator, but if you can make music for them then they should accept that.

[Stand your ground, buddy! Don't let human judgments push you back!]

I...don't really know how these work. Something about electricity and wires. Guess I should have been more interested in this kind of stuff.

[It's a bit awkward to not know how to describe this stuff to someone else, yeah]

I know, I know, but...sometimes it's just sorta hard, y'know? I mean, my human friends can vouch for me, but you always got those naysayers who come up to you and are like, "You sure it ain't a costume?", or, "Watch out, he might go feral at any moment!"

[At least he's built up a little bit of a reputation at Tiana's Palace, but for the out-of-towners, well...]

...D'you think they'd protest if we took it apart?

[Noby stares a little. He didn't expect an alligator to like marshmallows so much. On the other hand...] Hey! Uh...leave some marshmallows for the rest of us? [He doesn't seem dangerous...but the boy is still keeping his distance for now.]

[Louis pauses to look down at him, marshmallow halfway to his mouth. He then slowly puts it in his jaws and munches on it.]

...Fair enough. [He shakes the box, trying to determine if there are any other marshmallows left.] Want some?

Um...yes please? [He takes a few more steps forward.] I think I kind of need a bowl, though... [Well, actually there seem to be a few drying, so he can grab that without incident.]

[bayoublues]

Okay! [He tilts the box so that the cereal pours out into the bowl. There are...not many marshmallows left. Maybe a few cauldrons and the rare four-leaf-clover.]

Uh...there ain't no spoons, just so you know, so you're gonna have to use your hands. Someone went and stole 'em all.

[... oh wow this is sad huh.]

Going through withdrawals?

Mmmmmaybe. Care to join me?

Sure. [looks curiously at all the buttons] Honestly, I've never even heard the song they gave me before in my life... You ever try acapella before? It's really not all that bad, and considering the shameful lack of instruments in this place, it might be our best bet.

Well, is the song still good?

And, uh, not really--never actually considered tryin' out acapella before now. But a few people have said I have a nice baritone voice.

[Usually, however, only Tiana and Naveen can understand him.]

If you think this is great, you should see Saturday mornings. [Molly just invites herself into one of these chairs, mesmerized by the option of semi-television]

Saturday mornings? Do they have more of those playin', then?

Mickey? Is that this 'Mickey Mouse' character, here? Seems pretty recent to me. I mean, we just got movin' pictures, didn't we?

Yeah! Saturday mornings are time for cereal and cartoons! They're normally in color and everything!

[Louis isn't the only one getting bit in the ass with the boredom bug. It's nice talking to the others and finding out what cool stuff they know about or know how to do, but the stuff here... it's so boring ! After a full summer in Gravity Falls, this is like watching paint dry, ugh!

But hey at least the people are fun. And the animals too! Mabel hasn't had the chance to talk to Louis yet, so she bounces on the balls of her feet a little as she walks up to him.]

Are you trying to sing?? Can all alligators do that where you come from??

[oh shit another small child. Why are there so many of them here?]

Actually, I'm scatting. Not technically singing. [He winks at her and gestures towards the rules Mr. Arrow has put up.] And, no, not all of 'em are as musically inclined as I am. Most of 'em just bask in the sun all day.

You're Mabel, right? Nice to finally meet you. I'm Louis.

[scrapplinghook]

[When he points towards the rules, Mabel just blows a very lous raspberry. That's what she thinks of those rules!!]

Those rules are dumb!! If you wanna sing and be way cooler than all those lazy gators, you sing all you want, Louis!

[Leia's seen enough weird shit in fifty-odd years that the presence of an alligator in the house doesn't bother her. Nor does his sentience—she's more than used to other beings. As far as she's concerned, he's just from a race yet undiscovered by her kind.]

Does your home world not have access to holo decks?

[Louis glances over his shoulder to spot this lady--Leia? Yeah, that was probably her name. He had been quite impressed with what he had read from her bio.]

Holo decks? Um, no. I don't even know what those are.

Really?

[Boy, some of the people here really must be from some backwater planets.]

Well, if this is knew to you [gesturing at the screen] I doubt I'll be able to explain a holo deck very well, either.

[Interestingly, when he tries to touch Stan Pines' button, nothing happens.

That's...weird. Maybe try to press it again?]

Hm. Did someone break this already?

[Boink. He pushes it again, harder this time.]

[...so, after another press, music starts. It's distinctly garbled, and it's pretty hard to make out the lyrics.

But it's definitely not the song that was there before.]
