Final Trial

[After everyone is done investigating the rooms, they will hear a faint creeek from the mansion’s entrance. Once they heads towards the noise they will discover a set of stairs leading to the basement that definitely weren’t there earlier.

Once they head downstairs, they will find themselves in a long hallway that seems to stretch out forever. It doesn’t, luckily, but eventually the hallway ends at a large empty room, with just a throne in the center.

The living guests will immediately realize they're not alone because King Dice is here already laying across the throne and smoking a cigar. He grins at the survivors and stand up.]

Well congrats, kids! I must say I’m impressed that that you managed to get down here alive, considering who was leading ya.

Now, I’m sure y’all have a lot of questions about what’s going on but I gotta settle something first:

[He looks directly at Michael.]

Mikey, I believe we have to finish our arrangement now.

RUBY IS VERY INTERESTING AND- do you even know what the Huntsmen Academies are like?

[There's normal school stuff but there's also a lot of guns and blades and fighting monsters. You know, girl stuff.]

[Plus the whole taking weird glee in watching them all die? That's definitely a big factor here.]

But I've got your photos and I think you want those back, so I'm gonna ask again. Who is he and what happened?

[She pulls out one of the photos from an interior pocket and holds it up to demonstrate she's not lying.]

I'm not trying to endear myself, I'm- ...is there a word for holding a thing ransom instead of a person? Not blackmail... extorting, I guess? I'm trying to extort answers out of you.

...And I'm pretty sure it does matter, at least to you, or you wouldn't have had these on your wall. Or be trying to smoke so much you forget. Did he die, or just- go away go away?

It's either that or mope about the whole situation. Once smoke gave me this job and weed I realized that the former is by far the better choice.

I'm not saying you have to go back to wherever you're originally from. There's a whole universe out there? Go wherever you want, but if you don't come to terms with your feelings, they just get worse and worse until they're all you can feel.

Your friend died and then Mister Smoke got you to take a job with money and memory-loss spweed.

[That's actually pretty terrible, even for a wad like King Dice.]

...Where does that Epcot place fit in, though? Was that where you and your friend worked before?

Is that what that reel of film is about, then? "Hells Bells" sounds pretty- um. Devil-ish.

Smoke gave it to me. This ain't my thing normally but it reminds me of the good times so I keep it.
